About me

Bruce Profile Pic.jpg

I’m a Cape Town Photographer specializing in food, portraiture and interiors. My career started after completing my National Diploma in photography in 2000.

My first serious clients were mostly clothing and homeware retailers with large volumes of product that required  studio photography. While I enjoyed shooting retail I soon realised my need for a much more creative outlet for my work.

I began to explore various other genres of photography outside of the studio and started shooting food, environmental portraiture and interiors for editorial, corporate and hospitality clients in 2009.

Capturing the Capes unique food and wine lifestyle, for both print and digital publication, my work affords me the opportunity of photographing everything from food trucks to haute cuisine, my aim is to bring an earthy naturalism to my portraiture, food and interior photography, showcasing

inspired cuisine, passionate chefs and bespoke spaces in images with mood and depth.

My regular commissions come from specialist magazines, publishers, chefs, restaurants, wine farms and guesthouses. basically everywhere that food takes centre stage. I offer a high end, yet hands on,

personalised service that seeks to best communicate each clients unique culinary and creative journey.

Bruce Tuck is a preferred freelance photographer we regularly commission for photo shoots in Cape Town. Not only does he follow briefs to a 'T', his eye for detail and ability to capture the subject with evocative mood and soul makes him, in my opinion, one of SA's finest photographers.

Bruce made all the food come alive, he understood the image we had in-mind for the Food and Home November issue.
Loved working with Bruce and look forward to creating for his camera again
